Vicki has asked me to point out that, at the time these photos were taken, the builders were about 80% of the way through building the new kitchen extension.

As you can imagine, the kitchen is about the worst room to lose (downstairs anyway), so the rest of the house is full of bits that used to be in the kitchen, bits that will be in the new kitchen, and bits that will be needed for the new additions when they arrive.

Hence the cardboard box, and the dust sheet on the floor.

She assures me that they don't normally live like this.
