September 16th 2006 - Mallory Park.

Our second visit to Mallory Park in Leicestershire - this time in the dry. (To see how we fared in the wet - see here).

We came back to Mallory on a Saturday because a number of friends and relatives had been offered a few "fast laps" in the car, and this was a convenient location for everyone to get to.

It was a pleasant enough day, and we hadn't realised last time (because of the rain) just how fast this circuit is. Virtually all of it, except the hairpin, is done in top gear at speeds around 100 mph. Given that the circuit is only 1.3 miles long, we must have been getting round in about a minute.

I think a couple of friends had a very exciting few minutes!
